PCI – DSS stands for
Payment Card Industry – Digital Security Standard. PCI-DSS is overseen by the
PCI Security Standards Council, which is “an open global forum for the ongoing
development, enhancement, storage, dissemination and implementation of security
standards for account data protection”. The PCI-Digital Security Standard
defines the requirements for service providers and merchants as it relates to
processing and managing credit card data and transactions electronically or
online.

PCI-DSS Requirements The core of the PCI DSS is a group of principles and accompanying
